Climate X (solutions suite)

Climate X is a physical-risk specialist whose Spectra platform translates around a dozen acute and chronic hazards into asset- and portfolio-level financial losses — expected annual loss, business disruption and P&L impact — via web app or enterprise API. Models are developed in-house across CMIP5 RCP and CMIP6 SSP scenarios and cover a vendor-reported ~1.5 billion assets with proprietary building-vulnerability data; an Adapt module quantifies adaptation CapEx and return. Used by large banks and asset managers and integrating Fathom flood maps, it is built for end-to-end loss quantification.

Transparency Score

Beta

Public transparency, not model quality iThe Transparency Score (0–3) estimates public methodological transparency: the degree to which the vendor's analytical approach to modeling climate and nature risk can be assessed from publicly available sources. It is explicitly not a measure of vendor quality or accuracy.

1

Product-level: public materials indicate risk scope and outputs, but little detail on modeling approach.

Product-level: the public Spectra 'methodology' page names the IPCC hazard/vulnerability/exposure framing and 11 hazards and asserts a transparent approach, but does not disclose scenarios, resolution or model logic; documentation is referred to client engagements. No reconstructable public method.
