Climate X (solutions suite)

Climate X is a physical-risk specialist whose Spectra platform translates around a dozen acute and chronic hazards into asset- and portfolio-level financial losses — expected annual loss, business disruption and P&L impact — via web app or enterprise API. Models are developed in-house across CMIP5 RCP and CMIP6 SSP scenarios, cover a vendor-reported ~1.5 billion assets with proprietary building-vulnerability data, and the firm disclosed its physical-risk method in the GARP/CFRF vendor study; an Adapt module quantifies adaptation CapEx and return. Used by large banks and asset managers and integrating Fathom flood maps, it is built for end-to-end loss quantification.

Beta

Public transparency, not model quality iThe Transparency Score (0–3) estimates public methodological transparency: the degree to which the vendor's analytical approach to modeling climate and nature risk can be assessed from publicly available sources. It is explicitly not a measure of vendor quality or accuracy.

Methodology-relevant: vendor websites or external resources explain methodological details.

Methodology-relevant: a public Spectra methodology page sets out the model architecture — the IPCC hazard/vulnerability/exposure framework, in-house models across 11 EU-Taxonomy-aligned hazards, digital-twin hazard simulation and region-calibrated damage curves; underlying parameters and full documentation stay client-bound. GARP/CFRF-listed.
