Privacy Policy
The following information explains how personal data are processed in connection with this website and its contact options.
1. Controller
The party responsible for data processing on this website is:
H.W.Matt Consulting, H. W. Matt, Gubener Str. 43, 10243 Berlin, Germany —
Email: h.w.matt@outlook.com
A data protection officer is not required by law and has not been appointed.
2. General
We process personal data only to the extent necessary to provide the website and to handle your enquiries. Processing is carried out in accordance with the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). You can generally use the website without providing personal data; entering data into our forms is voluntary.
3. Hosting and Provision of the Website (Vercel)
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA. When you access the website, Vercel automatically processes technical access data, in particular IP address, date and time, page requested, and browser type, that are required to deliver the website securely and reliably.
Legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and functional provision of the website). Vercel acts as a processor on our behalf; a data processing agreement is or should be in place. Any transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
4. Email Contact Form and Feedback Form (Google)
When you use our forms, we process the data you enter:
- Email contact form: your email address
- Feedback form: your name, email address, and message
The data are transmitted via Google Apps Script and stored in Google Sheets. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland, with Google LLC, USA, as sub-processor.
Purpose: handling your enquiry or feedback and, where applicable, contacting you in response.
Legal basis: for contact requests, Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (pre-contractual or contractual communication) and/or (f) (legitimate interest in handling enquiries); for voluntary feedback, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR (consent) and/or (f) (legitimate interest in improving our offering). You may withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.
Google acts as a processor, and conclusion of the Google data processing agreement is required. Any transfer to the USA is based on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. We store the data only for as long as necessary for the respective purpose and delete them afterwards, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
5. Cookies and Analytics
This website does not use any marketing or third-party tracking cookies. It does use Vercel Web Analytics for privacy-preserving reach measurement. Our hosting provider, Vercel, may also set technically necessary cookies in individual cases for the secure and reliable operation of the site, for example for security or routing.
Vercel Web Analytics works without cookies: visitors are identified by an anonymized hash generated from the request, which is automatically discarded after 24 hours. The legal basis for the technically necessary processing is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.
6. Recipients of the Data
Recipients are exclusively the processors named above: Vercel for hosting and Google for form processing and storage. We do not pass data on to any other third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so.
7. Your Rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and the right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR). You may withdraw consent already given at any time (Art. 7 (3) GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:
