Gaia Vision Inc.

Climate Vision

Gaia Vision's Climate Vision analyses global river- and rainfall-flood risk from historical to future periods, estimating both physical and financial damage from the company's own global flood model. Founded by flood-science researchers, it downscales climate projections to location and portfolio level and presents results through a web application for corporates and financial institutions assessing assets and supply chains, with notable public- and private-sector uptake in Japan, its home market. Distinctive for its flood-modelling depth — a focused flood specialist rather than a multi-hazard platform.

Beta

Public transparency, not model quality iThe Transparency Score (0–3) estimates public methodological transparency: the degree to which the vendor's analytical approach to modeling climate and nature risk can be assessed from publicly available sources. It is explicitly not a measure of vendor quality or accuracy.

Methodology-relevant: vendor websites or external resources explain methodological details.

Methodology-relevant: public materials set out the flood-risk method — the CaMa-Flood river-inundation model, 30 m (Japan)/90 m (global) resolution, 1.5/2/4 degC scenarios and a TCFD-aligned quantitative physical-risk process, with in-house river-flood data combining flood-hazard modelling and climate projection; parameters proprietary.
