ISS STOXX

ISS STOXX (product suite)

ISS STOXX, part of Deutsche Börse Group, offers an integrated Climate & Nature Analytics suite spanning more than a thousand indicators across emissions, transition and physical risk, net-zero alignment, scenario-based climate Value-at-Risk, biodiversity impact and water risk for investors, banks and insurers. Its geospatial, asset-level physical-risk modelling — extended by the 2025 acquisition of Sust Global — projects acute and chronic hazards under multiple IPCC, NGFS and IEA scenarios, delivered through the DataDesk platform and APIs, with a public methodology library documenting parts of the approach. Distinctive as a broad index-and-data house carrying climate and nature into mainstream investment and risk workflows.

Beta

Public transparency, not model quality iThe Transparency Score (0–3) estimates public methodological transparency: the degree to which the vendor's analytical approach to modeling climate and nature risk can be assessed from publicly available sources. It is explicitly not a measure of vendor quality or accuracy.

2

Methodology-relevant: vendor websites or external resources explain methodological details.

Methodology-relevant: the public Methodology Library provides an ungated Physical Risk Solution methodology document (plus Transition VaR and Scenario Alignment), setting out the scenario-analysis approach; parameters stay proprietary. (Correction: a prior downgrade to 1 rested on a search gap, not on absence of public method — direct review of the library confirms it.)
