Mitiga Solutions S.L.

EarthScan

Mitiga Solutions' EarthScan is a SaaS platform for asset- and portfolio-level physical climate risk, returning acute and chronic hazards such as flood, wildfire, drought and extreme temperatures on demand. It combines physics-based climate and hazard modelling with machine learning, and incorporates the former Cervest IP following that acquisition, broadening its asset-intelligence coverage. Results are structured for disclosure across time horizons and future scenarios for corporates and financial institutions, and the tool is catalogued in the UNEP FI dashboard. Distinctive for hazard screening consolidated from two formerly independent platforms.

Transparency Score

Beta

Public transparency, not model quality iThe Transparency Score (0–3) estimates public methodological transparency: the degree to which the vendor's analytical approach to modeling climate and nature risk can be assessed from publicly available sources. It is explicitly not a measure of vendor quality or accuracy.

Methodology-relevant: vendor websites or external resources explain methodological details.

Methodology-relevant: public materials describe the EarthScan modelling chain — CMIP6 global and CORDEX regional data, ERA5 reanalysis, and a Bayesian 'Signals Engine' with Gaussian Process Regression for downscaling and uncertainty — enough for an external reviewer to follow the approach, though parameters stay proprietary.
