Swiss Re Corporate Solutions' Risk Data & Services (RDS) profiles natural-catastrophe, climate and nature risk, quantifying value-at-risk today and under IPCC scenarios to end-century, built on Swiss Re's proprietary CatNet hazard models and reinsurance loss data. Beyond physical perils it incorporates the Swiss Re Institute Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (BES) Index and Nature Risk Insights to assess dependencies on biodiversity, ecosystem services and water at a stated 1 km resolution, supporting asset hardening, resilience and Climate Risk & Vulnerability Assessments. Distinctive for grounding both hazard and biodiversity analysis in a major reinsurer's data.
